| Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2010 32nd Kettering All Saints Rainbows have won the chance to have a display at the RHS flower show at Hampton Court to represent 100 years of Girlguiding! This is for The Girlguiding UK Centenary Recycled Container Competition Girlguiding has teamed up with the Royal Horticultural Society for Hampton Court Palace Flower Show on Tuesday 6th to Sunday 11th July 2010. The idea is to make a display in a recycled container depicting what we enjoy most about being part of the guiding family and to represent 100 years of Girlguiding. We had to submit plans and then waited for the judges to make their decision. Our recycled container is an old artificial leg, along with some broken crutches. This represents inclusive Guiding. Over the years 32nd All Saints, Kettering Rainbows have included girls with various backgrounds and abilities. The leg will be resting on a "welcome" mat of grass. The Rainbows are growing the plants from seeds and hoping to get a beautiful crop of blooms in blue representing Guides, yellow for Brownies and red for Rainbows. They are very excited about growing the plants and I hope they remember to water them! It is an excellent show case for us to promote the Guide centenary year as it attracts over 165,000 visitors.
